Buyers who need a truck for daily goods, farm produce and industrial material in the same month are buying a compromise, and pretending otherwise leads to disappointment. Better to choose the compromise deliberately.
01 The four trade-offs| Body volume vs tare weight | Taller sides carry more light cargo, but cost payload on dense cargo. Lean tall if goods are bulky, low if they are heavy. |
|---|---|
| Floor plate thickness | Thicker survives rock and slag, and adds weight. Lean thick if any aggregate is involved. |
| Open top vs cover | Open ventilates produce, but rain soaks bagged goods. A removable cover is the compromise. |
| Side access vs body rigidity | Full drop sides load fast but flex more. Fixed lower panels with drop uppers keep the body stiff. |
For a mixed-cargo operator we normally specify the standard 7200 × 2490 × 3668 mm fence body, a mid-thickness floor plate, and drop upper panels over fixed lowers. That combination is good at all three duties and best at none — which is exactly the point.
03 The chassis| Model | SHACMAN F3000, 6x4 |

Tell us the split between the three cargo types as percentages and the heaviest item carried, and the body will be weighted to the dominant duty instead of being built for an average that never happens.
