A grain load behaves like a liquid on the road and like a solid in the body. It shifts against the sides on a bend, it compacts on a long run, and it will not release cleanly from a body that was designed for rock. This X3000 6X4 bulk food cargo tipper is specified for the softer material: a front lifting body on a 3975 + 1400 mm wheelbase, Weichai diesel at 380HP, manual transmission and a 21-30 t load rating.
The discharge angle matters more than the body volume here. Grain that sits in the corners after a tip is grain the driver has to shovel, so the body floor and the tailgate geometry are worth confirming against the material before the order rather than after.

Tell us the material, its bulk density and the discharge point and we will confirm the body geometry, tailgate and lining for it.
Loading and discharge sequenceGrain is usually loaded from a hopper or an auger, which means the load arrives in the body already settled rather than dropped in a heap. That changes the tipping calculation: the material has compacted against the floor, so the ram has to break the load free before the body starts to rise, and the tailgate has to open progressively rather than in one movement. Confirm both against your handling equipment before the order.
Moisture is the other variable. Grain harvested in a wet season carries more water, weighs more per cubic metre, and will bridge in the corners of a body that discharged cleanly in the dry season. A body with rounded internal corners and a steeper floor angle solves it more cheaply than a bigger ram does.
