A tipper has to fit the loading equipment before it fits the cargo. Shovel reach, hopper height and the turning space at the tip face decide whether a truck works smoothly on a site or holds up the plant behind it.

At the other end, the truck needs room to reverse to the edge and raise the body without the load falling under the rear wheels. A 7200 mm body on a 3175 + 1400 mm wheelbase gives a rear overhang short enough to tip close to the edge while keeping the hinge behind the load centre.
