Stone is the cargo that ends a tipper early. It arrives by shovel, drops from height, and lands on a floor plate that was chosen to carry weight rather than to absorb impact. Specifying for stone is a different exercise from specifying for sand.

Rock does not flow the way sand does. It releases in lumps, and the first lump out can shift the centre of gravity sideways. Tip on level ground, raise the body slowly, and never raise it fully with a partial load still wedged at the front — the ram will take the shock.
