Shaanxi Auto has also built the Tianxingjian Telematics Platform, which opens up relevant data for the company's internal Automotive Engineering Research Institute and also opens a free fleet management system for Shaanxi Auto users, forming a comprehensive solution of "vehicle + Telematics" to enhance the competitive advantage of differentiation. The first period: 1968-1984. At that time, a new plant was built in Xi'an, and Steyr technology was introduced to achieve a successful transition from serving national defense and people's livelihood with technological innovation and product renewal. Yuan Hongming said: "From Baoji Caijiapo Maili Xigou to Xi'an, we realized the conversion of military to civilian, and the products were changed from military to dual-use, which solved the problem of product upgrading and product structure transformation. We went from introduction, digestion and absorption to full autonomy, and now the heavy-duty trucks are almost free from human constraints."
The third period: 2002-2015. Shaanxi Auto dared to be the first to introduce external high-quality capital and establish a modern property rights management system by taking mixed ownership reform as a breakthrough, and entered the fast lane of development. During this period, Shaanxi Auto Group was formed and Shaanxi Heavy Duty was established as a joint venture with the listed company Hunan Torch. Yuan Hongming said, "Our cooperation with Xiangyu Torch and Weichai Power has achieved institutional and mechanism innovation. And the great changes in institutions and mechanisms have changed many traditional habits of state-owned enterprises and laid a solid foundation for the rapid development of Shaanxi Auto."
The fourth period: 2016 to present. Shaanxi Auto focuses on market demand, positive R&D, and realizes the change from meeting demand to leading demand. The science and technology innovation system and mechanism have been put into effect, and the new energy and intelligent network technology of commercial vehicles are industry-leading, entering a new stage of development. in September 2018, Yuan Hongming had said, "Without forgetting the original intention, set out in full gear and recreate a new Shaanxi Auto." Shaanxi Auto has implemented the "dual-wheel drive" development strategy of Shaanxi Auto Commercial Vehicle and Shaanxi Heavy Duty Vehicle, and has made comprehensive efforts around the full range of commercial vehicles. Yuan Hongming said, "Our group has a full range of qualifications, from light trucks to heavy trucks, and we need to change the product structure of the original heavy trucks, so we propose to recreate a new Shaanxi Auto, hoping to build a full range of commercial vehicles, and we have seen the first results. This year, the commercial vehicle industry has declined significantly, while our commercial vehicle sales have basically not declined."
