Product Description

SHACMAN Rear Wheel Hub, Chrome Finish, BY61560030018

This is an original SHACMAN rear wheel hub for heavy trucks. It carries the rear wheel and bearings on the drive axle, so a sound hub is essential for safe, steady running under load. A cracked hub or worn bearing seat is not something to keep in service, because the failure mode is a wheel leaving the truck at speed.

Inspection Points

  • Cracks radiating from the stud holes.
  • Bearing seat fretting or discolouration from heat.
  • Stud threads pulled or stretched.
  • Oil weeping past the inner seal face.
  • Runout measured at the wheel flange.

Application

Fitted during rear axle service on SHACMAN heavy trucks. Replace hub and bearings together where the bearing seat shows wear, since a new hub with old bearings will not hold preload correctly.

Send your axle model and quantity and we will confirm the hub variant and shipping.

When fitting, torque the wheel nuts in stages and in the correct sequence, then re-check after the first loaded run, because a hub that has been overheated by a loose wheel will not hold preload again.
