This is our customised version of the SHACMAN X3000 4x2 chick carrier. The box is 9800mm long and built with an aluminium frame and cage panels, which saves around 800kg compared with a steel build. That saved weight goes to chicks instead of dead structure, and on a live bird run the difference shows directly in the number of crates per trip.
