The air spring upper bracket is one of those parts you never think about until a bang from the rear suspension tells you it has cracked. This bracket (DZ95259440320) bolts to the top of the air bag and ties it into the frame, so once it fails the bag starts walking and the truck leans to one side. Ours is cast from Q345 steel and coated against rust, so it takes the load and the road salt without argument.
The casting is heavier at the bolt bosses, which is exactly where the factory part tends to crack first. Bolt holes are drilled to the factory pattern, so you reuse the original hardware and torque figures. The coating holds up to salt spray, so the threads will not seize when you come back to it in two years.
