JK930 Crawler DTH Rig for Hard Rock and Deep Hole Work

Granite, basalt, hard sandstone — the JK930 is the rig we send when the ground fights back and the holes run deep. It carries a 6-inch DTH hammer on 30 bar air and will chase a 138-210mm hole down to about 40 metres before you need to step up to a heavier class.

Why the deep holes hold

The feed system gives you 40 kN down and 65 kN pullback. That reserve is the part most buyers overlook: 35 metres down in fractured rock the hole starts to close on the string, and if the pullback is light you lose tools. The 5500 Nm rotation head runs through a planetary gearbox with an internal spline drive, so torque stays even as the hammer loads up.

Power and air

A 194kW inline-six diesel turns two independent hydraulic circuits, so track and mast functions never steal pressure from the rotation head. Air comes from an onboard two-stage screw compressor running 21-30 m3/min at up to 30 bar. In granite expect 25-35 cm per minute with a fresh bit, and the rate holds because the split hydraulics keep the feed steady through the hard bands.

On site

The 3100mm track base and 500mm triple-grouser pads keep it stable on uneven pit floors, and 25 degrees of gradeability covers the working ramps. Hydraulic track tension means no track press on site. Dry and wet drilling both work: run the cyclone separator on its own for low-silica rock, or bring in the water injection pump at the swivel where dust rules are strict.
