JK1300 Mud Rotary Geothermal Borehole Drilling Rig 300m Depth 105-350mm Hole With BW850 Pump

Geothermal work is slower and cleaner than water well drilling, and the hole has to stay straight because the grouting and the loop go in afterwards. This is the JK1300 configuration most of our ground source heat pump customers order.

How it is set up for boreholes

• BW850 mud pump, matched to 105-180mm boreholes with a steady mud programme
• 12KN.m rotary table, enough torque for 300m of 89mm pipe without stalling in clay
• 11m mast, so a 6m rod plus the swivel comes out in one pass
• DTH changeover available for the sections that run into rock

Most enquiries are for 150m at 180mm. Depth down to 300m is possible in soft ground, but the pump rate drops and you should plan to wash the hole more often. On a 300m job we usually quote a second pump as backup.

We can add a foam injection point and a grout pump bracket if your projects call for it. Two customers in Chile run this exact setup with a small foam pump on the deck.
