This is our customized version of the Shacman X3000 4x2 chick carrier. The box is 9800 mm long and built with an aluminum frame and cage panels, which saves around 800 kg compared with a steel build. That saved weight goes to chicks instead of dead weight.
Inside there are three tiers of cages. Each tier slides out on rollers for loading and unloading, and the cage floors are fine mesh so droppings fall through and the birds stay clean. Doors are fitted on both sides and at the rear, with spring latches that stay shut on rough roads.
The chassis is the X3000 4x2 with a Weichai WP10H375E50 engine. We fit a hydraulic tail lift as an option, which is useful when the farm does not have a loading ramp. Ventilation is louver windows plus two roof extractor fans, and we can add a water misting line for hot climates.
Every truck gets a full inspection before shipment: engine test run, brake test, and a door-by-door check of the box. We send photos and a short video of the finished truck before it leaves the factory.
