The FAST 10-speed manual gearbox is a widely used transmission in Chinese heavy trucks. Ten forward gears and two reverse gears. Gear shifts use a synchromesh system on all forward gears, reducing driver effort. The transmission is rated for the full torque output of the 430HP engine with a safety margin. Oil capacity is approximately 14 liters, with standard gear oil available globally.
Dual-circuit full air brakes with ABS on all wheels. The air compressor is engine-driven with a dryer unit to remove moisture from the brake air system. Parking brake acts on the rear axles via spring chambers. The ABS system prevents wheel lock during emergency braking, especially useful on wet or loose road surfaces with a full load.
The cabin layout puts the gear lever within easy reach of the driver seat. The instrument panel includes a tachometer with green band marking the efficient RPM range. Air pressure gauges for front and rear brake circuits are visible in the main cluster. Power steering is standard, reducing steering effort at low speed and during parking maneuvers.
