Product Description
Jinke JK820 Heavy-Duty Crawler DTH Drilling Rig

The JK820 is the bigger machine in our crawler DTH lineup. We built it for mines and quarries running daily production volumes that need a rig handling larger holes, deeper depths, and harder rock without slowing down. Everything lives on one chassis: engine, screw compressor, hydraulic system, and mast. The JK820 steps up in weight class, compressor output, and structural build to take on work beyond a lighter rig. These machines are running blast hole patterns in large open-pit mines, hard granite quarries, and major infrastructure projects.

What Makes the JK820 Different

Bigger compressor, faster drilling

The JK820 packs a higher-output screw compressor directly coupled to the engine. More air volume at the hammer means faster penetration in hard rock and less time per hole. Drilling granite or basalt all day, this is the spec that moves the needle.

Heavier chassis, more stable

Beefed-up crawler frame with wider tracks and heavier base weight. More mass on the ground means less vibration during drilling, straighter holes, and longer bit life. The reinforced mast handles higher feed force without flexing under load.

Wider hole range, deeper reach

Covers 105mm to 165mm holes and reaches deeper than the JK810. If your blast patterns need larger diameters or you drill past 60 meters, the JK820 is sized for that work from the start.

One operator runs the whole show

Full hydraulic pilot controls, proportional joysticks, automatic rod carousel. Drive to position, level the mast, set the angle, drill. One operator. No helper, no separate compressor operator, no crew of three.

Runs a full shift on one tank

Large fuel and hydraulic tanks sized for continuous production. Engine and compressor matched for efficiency at working RPM. Not burning extra fuel at idle or running the compressor at the wrong speed for the hammer.

Same platform, multiple jobs

Primary use is blast hole drilling. Swap the hammer and bit and the same machine handles anchor drilling, pile foundations, or water wells. The base machine stays the same, just the tooling changes.

Real-World Drilling Performance
Rock typeTypical penetration rateBit size range
Soft limestone, shale, marl1.0 - 1.8 meters per minute115 - 165 mm
Medium sandstone, dolomite0.6 - 1.2 meters per minute105 - 140 mm
Hard granite, basalt0.3 - 0.7 meters per minute105 - 127 mm
Very hard quartzite, gneiss, iron ore0.15 - 0.4 meters per minute105 - 115 mm
Broken, fractured ground0.5 - 1.0 meters per minute115 - 165 mm

Field data from customer sites. Speed depends on rock conditions, bit wear, hammer state, air pressure, hole depth, and operator experience. Deeper holes and harder rock reduce penetration rate.

Where the JK820 Is Used

Large-scale quarry production

Daily blast hole drilling in high-output granite, limestone, and aggregate quarries. Handles the continuous duty cycle production quarries demand year-round.

Open-pit mining

Blast hole patterns in iron ore, copper, gold, and coal mines. Built for larger hole diameters and deeper benches common in hard rock surface mining.

Infrastructure and civil works

Highway and railway rock excavation, dam foundation drilling, tunnel portal preparation. Works where the geology is tough and hole specs are demanding.

Deep anchoring and geotechnical

Deep anchor holes for large retaining structures, landslide stabilization, and dam tie-downs needing extended reach beyond standard blast hole depths.

Solar and wind farm foundations

Pile holes for utility-scale renewable projects where hundreds of holes go in across challenging terrain over extended project timelines.

Deep water well drilling

Community and agricultural water supply wells reaching deeper aquifers. Handles extended drill string weight and higher air requirements.

Questions Buyers Ask
JK820 vs JK810 -- which one do I need?
The JK820 is heavier, more powerful, handles larger holes (up to 165mm vs 140mm), and drills deeper (80m vs 60m). If you are drilling granite or basalt in high daily volumes, the JK820 will outwork the JK810. If your holes stay under 140mm and your rock is moderate, the JK810 is likely the better value. Tell us your hole specs and rock type, we will recommend the right model.
What is the real fuel consumption?
Under continuous drilling load, roughly 15 to 22 liters per hour. The fuel tank is sized for a full production shift. Lighter duty cycles use less. Engine and compressor run at matched working RPM for efficiency.
Can I buy the rig without the compressor?
The compressor is built in. That is the whole advantage: one engine, one fuel tank, one maintenance schedule, zero setup time. You avoid buying, towing, maintaining, and fueling a separate compressor. Over the life of the machine, the integration saves you money.
How many operators needed?
One. The hydraulic auto-loader handles rod changes. Most operators with heavy equipment experience are productive within a week. We provide an operation manual and training videos.
What about spare parts later?
Wearing parts use industry-standard dimensions: DTH hammers, bits, chuck bushings, filters, track hardware. Source from us or from third-party suppliers, your choice. Starter spares kit included. We keep deeper inventory for express dispatch when you need it fast.
Do you handle export documentation?
Yes. Full export package: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading, pre-shipment inspection certificate. We coordinate with your freight forwarder or recommend one. Regular shipments to Central Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
