Two drivers, one truck, a run that takes four days each way. That is the job this version was specced for. The high roof cab carries a second bunk that an adult can actually sleep in without folding up, and the 1000L tank means one fuel stop per round trip on most trunk corridors instead of two or three. On a route where fuel is bought at motorway prices, that difference pays for itself faster than anything else on the spec sheet.

Comfort items on this build are not decoration. Air suspension seat, adjustable steering column, cab heater rated for cold highland nights, and a bunk wide enough for a 1.85m driver. A tired driver is an expensive driver, and buyers running two-man crews tell us plainly that driver retention is their real problem, not payload.

• Fuel range. Loaded at 28 ton on flat trunk road, expect roughly 32 to 36 L per 100 km. That puts a 1000L fill in the 2,700 to 3,100 km bracket, which covers most two-driver rotations without a refuel.
• Tubeless tyres. Lighter, cooler running, and a puncture repair at a roadside shop takes minutes instead of a tube change. Keep one spare; a second spare is possible but eats deck space.
• Cab insulation. We add extra floor and rear wall insulation on trunk line builds. It is a small line item and it changes night noise levels more than people expect.
• Overdrive top gear. At 90 km/h the engine sits in a low noise band. Drivers arrive less wrung out and the fuel number improves at the same time.
• Parts. Twin bunk cab trim, seat parts and heater cores are stocked items. No waiting on a special order if something breaks in the field.
