Product Description

SHACMAN X3000 6x4 400HP Lorry Truck, Reinforced Chassis Heavy Spec

Site trucks die from vibration, not from mileage. A standard highway chassis that spends two years on a haul road into a mine will show cracked cross members and a sagging frame long before the engine is worn out. This build is the answer to that, and it is not complicated: doubled cross members, thicker frame rails at the rear, extra leaf springs, and a steel front bumper that takes a hit instead of passing it into the cab mounts.

We sell this version mostly to buyers supplying mine camps, processing plants, and remote construction sites. Loads are diesel drums, drill consumables, steel, cement bags, and camp supplies. Roads are unpaved for the last 20 to 60 km, often graded but rarely smooth, and dust is constant.

The 400HP engine is deliberately the simpler emission spec on this build. Where fuel quality is inconsistent and diagnostic support is thin, a straightforward mechanical layout with fewer sensors is the difference between a truck that runs and a truck that waits for a laptop.

What Is Different From A Highway Truck

  • Frame rails are thicker in the rear section where the body mounts. That is the area that cracks first on site trucks, and reinforcing it at build stage is far cheaper than a repair weld in the field.
  • Fuel tank sits behind a steel guard. On haul roads, tank damage from thrown stone is a real failure mode, and a cracked tank strands a truck for days.
  • Mining pattern tyres with deeper tread and stronger sidewalls. They are heavier and noisier on tarmac. If more than half your route is paved, say so and we will fit a mixed pattern instead.
  • Air cleaner is a two stage heavy dust type. In dry season conditions the filter service interval stretches from days to weeks, which is what keeps a site fleet moving.
  • Underside protection plates on the sump and gearbox. Cheap insurance against a rock strike on a badly graded section.

Order Notes

Two units is our minimum on this spec because the frame modification is set up per batch. Tell us the road profile, typical load, and whether the truck will run loaded both directions. We will confirm the spring rating and the body mounting layout, then quote with the shipping option that suits your port.
