Right hand drive is not a mirror image of a left hand drive truck, and treating it that way is how buyers end up with a cab that has the gear lever in the wrong place. Ours come off a dedicated RHD line: steering box, pedal box, dash layout, wiper sweep and door hardware are all RHD parts. Shift pattern is mirrored on the knob, clutch and brake pedals are repositioned properly, and the exhaust and fuel tank move to the opposite side so the driver's step is clear.

Most of these units go to East Africa, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. Buyers there tend to keep trucks for eight to twelve years, so the spec should favour serviceability over the newest electronics. We keep the emission level at Euro 2 or Euro 3 by request, and we will tell you honestly which one suits the fuel you can buy locally.

Deck is 9.6m by default, box body or stake side, both on the 1800+4600mm wheelbase. If your market taxes on overall length or you need a shorter body for tight urban yards, we build 8.8m on the same chassis without changing the frame.

• Documents we prepare: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and a pre shipment inspection report if your bank or customs asks for one. Scan copies go out before the vessel sails.
• CKD is possible on volume orders. We mark every part by assembly group and supply a build list. It suits markets where complete vehicle duty is much higher than kit duty, but it only makes sense from five units up.
• Spare parts kit can be added to the first order at cost. Filters, brake chambers, clutch plate, lamps and a set of hoses cover the first year of typical service.
• Speed limiter and tachograph can be fitted to your local requirement. Tell us the limit, we set it at the factory rather than at the port.
• Paint and decals are done to your brand if you order more than three units. Below that we ship in standard SHACMAN white, which clears customs faster in most markets.
